Indora–Dighori Elevated Corridor (flyover through residential balcony)
A ~9km, ₹998-crore NHAI elevated corridor was built so close to a 150-year-old house that its beam passes roughly 14-15 feet through the family's balcony, triggering outrage over urban-planning failures. NHAI issued the family a 15-day eviction notice, calling the balcony an "unauthorised encroachment," despite an encroachment flag on the project having gone unaddressed for about a year.
Pardi Flyover
A partially built span of this flyover collapsed during construction in October 2021; then, within a day of its official inauguration in February 2025, a chunk of concrete fell and damaged a passing car; by August 2025 wide gaps had opened between deck segments. The contractor (GDCL) claimed the fallen material was construction "waste," not part of the structure.
Sadar Flyover
This 3.9km flyover was built with a poorly designed landing that created a chronic traffic bottleneck at Samvidhan Square soon after opening. A state minister publicly acknowledged the "faulty design," and a ₹34-crore modification plan was announced, but implementation has stalled amid inter-agency disputes.
