Of 197 roads (43km) planned for modernisation (with footpaths, utility conduits, stormwater lines and smart bus stops) under Nashik's Smart City Area-Based Development plan, 57 roads covering 11km were formally cancelled by the Nashik Municipal Smart City Development Corporation board after facing repeated delays.
The official record states: "An NMSCDCL official said the incomplete projects were cancelled due to "delays and unresolved issues," specifically "local resistance and contractors failing to secure necessary clearances.""
