Damoh Naka-Madan Mahal Ring Flyover: Cracks Before Full Public Use
Billed as Madhya Pradesh's longest flyover (7 km, including a 192-metre single-span cable-stayed bridge over a railway line) and inaugurated in August 2025 to cut travel time between Damoh Naka and Madan Mahal from 40 minutes to 7, cracks were reported on the structure even before it opened to the public, prompting an inspection by the state PWD.
Madan Mahal Flyover
About eight months after inauguration, chunks of concrete began falling from the Madan Mahal section of this flyover, captured on video and widely shared; residents say they are now afraid to use the underpass beneath it after earlier reports of joint gaps and cracks.
Dumna Airport Terminal Canopy Collapse
Part of the canopy at Jabalpur's newly built Dumna Airport terminal collapsed on June 27, 2024, during heavy rain, the first of three near-identical canopy collapses at recently built Indian airport terminals within three consecutive days (Jabalpur, then Delhi T1, then Rajkot).
Shahpura Railway Overbridge (NH-45)
A retaining-wall section of this overbridge collapsed on December 18, 2025, and a second section collapsed again on February 22, 2026, barely 3-4 years after completion, forcing traffic closure on the busy Jabalpur-Bhopal highway.
