One of Vizag's oldest flyovers, once beautified ahead of a major international event, has since been left to decay (dead plants, broken tiles and deteriorated vertical-greenery structures) as maintenance funds are reserved mainly for VIP routes.
The official record states: "Citizens allege authorities maintain only routes used by dignitaries (airport, railway station, luxury hotels) while other roads are neglected; no official rebuttal reported."
