Indrayani River footbridge collapse
A 32-year-old iron pedestrian bridge over the Indrayani river collapsed on June 15, 2025 under the weight of roughly 100 tourists/picnickers, despite warning boards restricting two-wheeler and overload use. Four people died and 18 were seriously injured; CM Devendra Fadnavis confirmed the district collector had already declared the bridge dangerous before the tragedy and a contract for a replacement bridge had begun.
Pune Metro Pimpri–Dapodi corridor cost and time overrun
Mahametro claimed the Pimpri-Dapodi route was "100% complete," but junction work at Dapodi, Morwadi, Sant Tukaramnagar and Kasarwadi stations remained unfinished, with the metro operating only up to Phugewadi; the Nigdi extension was further delayed pending Union Defence Ministry clearance over its alignment near the Dehu Road Ammunition Factory.
