On record

This 5.15 km six-lane elevated flyover on NH-66, meant to ease chronic congestion into Panaji and improve access to Mopa airport, has seen its completion deadline slip from November 2026 toward 2027. By October 2025 work had "slowed by nearly 50 percent," with only about 40% of the superstructure done, amid disputes over narrow right-of-way and restricted night-work hours.

The official record states: "A contractor official cited right-of-way constraints (as little as 25 metres available with no room for service roads) and proposed night-only work restrictions that would double construction time."

“The airport access road slowed by half in 2025 and pushed to 2027; Mopa will have to wait for Panaji.”— Blunderlust Editorial Desk
