A year after Central government approval and funding, work on this flyover, meant to ease Margao's chronic ring-road congestion, had not even begun, stuck awaiting a formal No Objection Certificate from South Western Railway since the alignment crosses railway property.
The official record states: "PWD officials said "the process of floating the tender will come only after the SWR gives the NOC, since the flyover alignment passes through railway property," with the NOC still pending review at SWR headquarters in Hubballi and New Delhi."
